Discover this great vacation home with swimming pool in the lively village of Cénac-et-St-Julien, 14 km from Sarlat, in the Périgord Noir. This unusual dovecote is simply and comfortably furnished and overlooks the land of the discreet owner. in the heart of this very pretty village. The lower part of the garden includes a pool that you can share with the owner and a pretty terrace with vines. At 300 meters, the Dordogne offers opportunities for canoeing and picnicking. Above the town rises the fascinating bastide of Domme, called the 'Acropolis of the Dordogne', dominated by a centuries-old oak tree 45 meters high. An ideal place to explore this magnificent region. A 20-minute drive away is Sarlat, the capital of the Périgord Noir, one of the most beautiful towns in France with 66 listed monuments, one of the finest medieval complexes in Europe. Discover its winding streets, vaulted passages and magnificent houses. Sainte Marie Church has a covered food market and a panoramic elevator in the bell tower offers views of the city. At the market you will find the local products for which this terroir is famous, such as foie gras and cheese. 8 km from your vacation rental, the Jardins de Marqueyssac offer a 19th century chateau, more than 6 km of shaded walks adorned with belvederes, rock gardens, waterfalls and green theaters for an unforgettable romantic stroll. Note that you have to climb about 30 steps to get to the living rooms, and a narrow staircase leads to the bedroom with double bed on the second floor. The second bedroom (with two single beds) is accessible only from the outside or through a narrow hatch.
