Wooden chalet in a beautiful location on a sunny hill with a wonderful view of Lake Nisser
This house is detached and is in the midst of nature, by a forest, but not totally secluded and with various amenities nearby.
It is a Norwegian wooden chalet on a 1500m² site. The living space totals 120m², excluding the veranda around 70 m2. The ground floor has a hallway with a cupboard. There is a big, light living room with an open kitchen of around 35m². It is modern and provides a sitting corner, dining corner, wood-burning stove, Ultra HD SMART TV with Apps (Netflix, You Tube etc.) and blu-ray player, radio/CD player, a ceramic hob, a grill and everything else you need in the kitchen. The ground floor also has two bedrooms each with two single beds that can also be joined together, and a wardrobe. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and washbasin, and there is an adjoining sauna. There is a separate room with a washing machine and dryer, with a second toilet and washbasin. The upper floor has a big bedroom with two single beds and there is a sofa bed for two people in the hallway. All the beds have single duvets and pillows, and there is also a mattress for the sofa bed for additional comfort.
The house is fitted with electric radiators with a thermostat and under-floor heating in the tiled rooms. Internet access is available.
The veranda faces south and therefore has sunshine all day long until sunset. There is a big wooden terrace of around 70m² with a lovely view of the lake. Terrace furniture is provided.
Vrådal is in Telemark province on the northern tip of the 40-kilometre-long Lake Nisser. Vrådal is easily accessible by plane and car. There are several ferry connections between northern Denmark (Hirthals) and southern Norway. Most of the connections are in Kristiansand, Larvik and Langesund. Vrådal is near Torp (TRF) airport near Sandefjord and Kjevik (KRS) airport near Kristiansand. The town and the surroundings are characterised by a range of activities in different seasons. Winter sports are possible in the nearby ski resorts of Vrådal and Gautefall. There are water sports along the many islands, from rowing and sailing to canoeing. There is a beach for swimming near the accommodation, as well as a climbing wall. There are many kilometres of cross-country skiing and hiking trails. You can go on elk and beaver safaris. It is possible to hire snowmobiles and go on husky-drawn sledge rides. There are places to go fishing and you can hire a boat, or go on mountain bike tours along special trails, horse riding or on a boat tour across the lake. There is a new golf course along the lake. You can visit the Bo Sommarland family leisure park. Owing to the central location of Vrådal you can also go on wonderful day trips, for example to the historical town of Dalen, the coastal town of Larvik or to the Hardangervidda high plains. Vrådal has all the necessary amenities nearby, such as a supermarket, shops, restaurants and a tourist information office.
