Bastorf liegt zwischen Kühlungsborn (ca. 3 km) und Rerik (ca. 7 km). Die Sehenswürdigkeit ist der Bastorfer Leuchtturm „Buk“ (ca. 500m) mit tollen Ausblick. Am Leuchtturm befindet sich auch das Cafe Valentins mit Eis-, Kaffee-und Kuchenspezialitäten sowie einem kleinen Speiseangebot. Mehr Restaurants finden Sie in Kühlungsborn und Rerik. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Bastorf beschränken sich auf den Hofladen des „Gutshofs Bastorf“ und die Tankstelle. Auch die Schwarzlichtminigolfanlage lädt zu einem aufregenden Spielchen ein. Zum naturbelassenen, kurtaxfreien Strand von Kägsdorf sind es ca. 3 – 3,5 km. Bastorf ist auch Kurtaxfrei. In den nahen Ostseebädern ist die Kurtaxe vor Ort zu entrichten. Bastorf liegt sehr zentral und am Ostseerad- und Wanderweg. Von Bastorf aus lassen sich gut Wander- und Radtouren starten. Nur zurück geht’s immer bergauf.
