This cottage is the ideal vacation spot for long or short hikes and fishing trips in the charming mountains of Norway! The combination of darker wooden furniture, curry yellow and white wall paint, white ceiling and lots of soft pillows and furs makes the cabin a warm, cozy place to feel at home. The dining table invites you to a fun afternoon of games or game night with treats. In the evening, snuggle into the pillows on the sofa and chat about your Gaustatoppen mountain tour tomorrow. You can prepare the evening treats in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy the sunset from the terrace. Outside the door, a dreamy mountain landscape awaits you with hiking trails and MTB routes to explore. With the in-house rowing boat you can easily go fishing.

The hike to Gaustatoppen is one of the most popular in Norway, and the view from the top is phenomenal. You can also take the cable car inside the mountain to the top if your legs can't handle the hike. If you want to hike to the top, Stavsro is the most popular starting point. There are several different hiking trails that all lead to the summit. So both families with children and experienced mountain hikers can find a route they enjoy. A second highlight for mountain hikers is also provided by Hulderhola Cave.
