House in Anjum with Private Parking and Lake Views

Quiet holiday home in front of the dike. The house has an access to the Lauwersmeer, through your own footbridge There is a winter garden, fishing pier, dishwasher and private parking.



Chalet Rietsicht is on the ground floor, with a parking space in front of the house and belongs for up to 4 people! From the living room and solarium, you can look directly at the water. The kitchen is full equipped with an oven and dishwasher. The jetty is for swimming and fishing.



The house has a garden at the Lauwersmeer with its own fishing jetty and a terrace with garden furniture. Parking for 2 cars, well fenced.



The house can be rented all year round, but is also used regularly by the owners.



Oostmahorn is an old stronghold at the at the western side of the Lauwerslake with a rich history, dating back to the sixteenth century. Nowadays it’s a very pleasant tourist destination at the National Park Lauwersmeer, hosting several holiday resorts.


The lake itself and the direct surroundings are a true paradise for nature lovers, fisherman, water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and hikers. Dogs are more than welcome here as well. There’s a special beach and a forest for them at Lauwersoog.


Within a couple of hundreds of meters there are several playgrounds for children. At the beach, in the small resort ‘De Skâns’ and in Esonstad - which is a holiday resort build as a replica of a typical old Frysian city. In Esonstad you’ll even find a bouncy castle and an indoor playing hall and one can play golf and foot golf here at the local Pitch & Putt area. Renting a bicycle or e-chopper is also possible here. 


In Esonstad you can easily do your daily groceries (a bigger supermarkt is just a couple of kilometers away in Anjum) or find a restaurant, pizzeria or a snackbar.

Another three restaurants are even closer to your holiday house. Some of them offer spectacular lake views. Other good options to enjoy the local seafood cuisine are the sea harbor of Lauwersoog at the northern side of the lake, the old fishing village of Zoutkamp at the eastside of the lake or at Dokkum, the most northern fortified city of Friesland.


To discover the National Park from the waterside you could bring your own boat or surf gear but there are boats and sailing boats for rent as well at ‘Paviljoen La Barca’. If you’re more into cat sailing, try the local cat-club ‘Omaho’, next to the small marina.


A boat-tour, sailing trip to Dokkum, bird or seal expedition can be booked around the corner and a ferry to the beautiful island of Schiermonnikoog, with it’s many miles of sandy beaches, is leaving from Oostmahorn as well. 


The Lauwerslake (Lauwersmeer in dutch) is truly loved by fishermen for its large bream, roach, pike, perch and eel. At the reception of Holland1 you can obtain a fishing permit.


Do you like to walk and do you want to relax? Then visit the fishing village of Paesens-Moddergat with its small museum and experience the Wadden Sea World Heritage with its largest unbroken system of intertidal sand and mud flats in the world. Hiking over the mudflats of the Wadden Sea certainly is one of the most memorable activities in the Netherlands. Guided tours can be booked here every day of the year.


Or just stay and enjoy yourself at your holiday house. Just don’t forget to look up at the universe on a clear night. With the title Dark Sky Park, Lauwersmeer National Park is one of the world’s darkest places. Here, you can truly experience nature in the dark!

    “Het huis is van alles zeer goed voorzien. Ook de ruimte rond het huis is prima voor zowel het parkeren als de mogelijkheden om buiten te zitten in de tuin.
    De twee badkamers hebben wij ook als heel prettig ervaren. Positiv: Bij iets frisse wind het zitten in de lichte serre en bij het mooie weer het kunnen zitten aan het water op de vlonder. Negativ: Niets.”

    “Alles im allem.Top Unterkunft mit super Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge und in Anjum um die Ecke ist ein Supermarkt wo man Alles für den täglichen Bedarf bekommt. Positiv: Super Lage, grade für Ausflüge.Super Ausstattung.Wenn man was zum Meckern sucht, dann kann man den Einfachen in die Jahre gekommenen Grill und die Gartenstühle, die nicht mehr alle Top in Ordnung waren Bemängeln. Wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.Ein Highlight war der Wintergarten von wo man schön aufs Wasser gucken kann, Enten Vögel usw. beobachten kann. Töpfe, Pfannen, Toaster, Tefal Fleischgrill,Staubsauger, Waschmaschine,Spülmaschine, Verschiede Kaffeemaschinen.Mit ein bisschen Glück: WC Papier,Küchenrolle, Mülltüten,Kaffefilter,Kaffee, Kaffeepads,Alufelgen, Feuerzeug ,Grillkohle mit Anzünden,Eierkocher,Für Tiere Näpfe Negativ: Defekte Gartenstuhl zum kleinen Teil, waren auch mehrere ganze.Der nicht so Perfekte Grill Restaurant: Restaurant Lauwersmeer - Leider nicht täglich auf, aber gute Portion und Lecker, auch keine große Speisekarte.Extrem Kinderfreundlich mit Kinderspielecke und Kindergerichte. Ausflüge: Pieterburen Zeehondencentrum - Seehundencentrum, sieht man nicht Alltäglich gut Erklärt auch oft in Deutsch, was für Groß und Klein. Mit Wasserspielplatz wo Ebbe und Flut Erklärt wird”
