Dagebüll is the perfect place for excursions in the surrounding area: the ferries to the North Sea islands of Amrum and Föhr are just a few minutes' walk away. From the nearby harbour in Schlüttsiel (approx. 8 km) you can also reach the small Halligen islands of Hooge and Langeneß quickly and easily by boat. Dagebüll is also ideally located for a day trip to Sylt, because from here, or from neighbouring Niebüll (approx. 12 km), you can travel directly to Westerland by train in just half an hour.
The many dykes all around offer a perfect area for cyclists - you will find a practical bike hire shop directly in the town.
