Bad Hofgastein Heissingfelding Quiet location with beautiful views in country lane
2-4 person apartment contained in a 3-storey building on the ground floor to the right hand side at the end of the entrance hall on the same level with immediate access from a quiet country lane, 42 square meter in size, double bedroom (inc. double bed and a futon) with en suite bathroom (shower, toilet, basin) other bathroom off the hall with shower, toilet, basin also; the apartment has its own kitchen fully equipped with a work surface hob and oven, toaster, refrigerator, kettle, coffee maker, and all utensils. Living area with pull out sofa bed ( with removable arm rests ) for 2 children or one small adult ( 1,62 meter approx. ) TV with built-in DVD player and balcony overlooking the Gastein valley.
Completely furnished and stylishly equipped.
Access to the apartment is via a key safe which is located to the right of the main door of the building, which is clearly visible (small grey and black master lock box) when departing please make sure you leave the key back in the master lock box and scramble the numbers. The guests will receive the code before they arrive. Entry to the apartment is from 2.pm (14.00 hrs) on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 9.30am at the latest on the day of departure.
Bad Hofgastein is a village situated in a quiet rural location approximately an hour and a half away (by car) from Salzburg City. The apartment has available parking immediately in front of the building. There is a farm opposite the apartment building and fields at the back stretching down to the river Gastein. Lovely views of both trees and mountains front and back and at the end of the valley. There is a bus stop about 20 metres along from the building with buses into town and to the ski school and cable car station. There are 3 good sized supermarkets within 5-7 minutes drive situated on the main road into town or 5-7 minutes by car. It is a pleasant 20 minute stroll into town where there are a variety of cafes, restaurants and shops situated mainly on pedestrian precincts with lovely parks, gardens, fountains and thermal springs. There is a waterfall above the town behind the beautiful medieval church which feeds into the rushing waters of the Gastein river running through the town. The famous indoor/outdoor Felsentherme swimming pool complex has its own car park which is close to the centre, open all year round containing both self service and waitered restaurants. Discounts are available for many of the attractions on offer, including the cable cars, gondolas and chairlifts spread along the Gastein valley, by applying for a visitors Gastein card available from the tourist information centre opposite the Felsentherme.
Bad Hofgastein is situated half way along the famous Gastein valley with the most extensive ski area in the eastern Alps in winter extending up to almost 2.700 mtrs amid magnificent scenery. Cross country skiing tracks start close to the town centre and there is an ice-skating rink just above the swimming pool complex. There are both walking and cycling trails in abundance for all abilities the rest of the year round both along the floor of the valley and in the mountains. Also available within 10 minutes drive is an excellent golf course. Mini-golf and tennis courts close to the town centre and horse-riding and archery 15 minutes drive away. In summer there is a bathing lake a pleasant 30 minutes walk along country lanes and along the river from the apartment.
The property is situated on the ground floor with all rooms on the same level . All the rooms have central heating. There is a bedroom with a kingsize bed and a single adult sized futon with wardrobe and a bathroom ensuite including a shower/basin /toilet. The other room is a lounge/kitchen with a separate door accessed from the lobby which maintains privacy . It includes a well equipped kitchen with sitting area,pull out couch for smaller adult / or children. Also includes 2nd bathroom comprising shower/basin/toilet. There is a balcony with a seating area with lovely views of fields and mountains off the lounge.
P.S. Unfortunately there is no wheelchair access to the apartment.

There is a swimming lake about 2-3 kilometres away via country lanes and alongside the river Gastein. This is excellent for cycling and the hills are very gentle. The Hohenweg trail can be accessed from either near to Heissingfelding or from behind the church in town affording glorious views of the valley and also a waterfall.
