Apartment Prvić Šepurine
Prvić is a smaller island of the Šibenik archipelago, located very close to Vodice and is one of the few inhabited islands in that region. There are two settlements there and both consist of two words - Prvić Šepurine and Prvić Luka. The island is also a natural continuation of the neighboring island of Zlarin, which is confirmed by numerous underwater reefs and shoals.
Prvić is known for its beautiful beaches. In Šepurine, after getting off the boat, you can stretch out on the beach after about ten meters and jump into the crystal clear sea. Namely, to the right of the pier where the ship 'Tijat' docks, there are several smaller and one large beach. They are all located on a part of the coast a few hundred meters long, and most of the beaches and coves are pebbly or even sandy, which is especially evident when you enter the sea and take a few steps on the soft surface. This sand also gives the sea a turquoise color, which simply entices you to bathe in it.
My neighbors are mostly silent and kind. Neighborhood is quiet and there is no noise during the day and night.
The landmark of Šepurine, and at the same time the whole of Prvić, is its most famous resident from the past - Faust Vrančić, which is also the reason why some call it Faust's island. This famous scientist, linguist and inventor was born in Šibenik, and in Šepurine he spent his childhood in the family summer house and expressed his wish to be buried on the island, specifically in the church of St. Mary (Our Lady of Mercy) in Prvić Luka, which was done after he died in Venice. At the end of the 2012 season, the Faust Vrančić Memorial Center was opened on the island, where there is an outdoor amphitheater, a hall, a souvenir shop and Vrančić's life-size inventions. Vrančić is the creator of 'Homo volans', i.e. the flying man, and is thought to be the predecessor of the modern parachute. Along with the parachute, Vrančić will be remembered as the author of the work 'Machinae novae' and the five-language dictionary 'Dictionary of the Five Noblest Languages of Europe', among which is the Dalmatian and Croatian languages.
