West Coast Jewel

A fresh and relatively newly built guest house on the Swedish West Coast with breathtaking nature surroundings in nature on the island of Stenungsön, just outside the village of Stenungsund. It is reached in just a few minutes by car from Stenungsund but still you will really feel that you are out in the quiet and peaceful countryside. Lying at the sea, well wind protected against normal wind directions and with the sun reaching the place from morning to evening.

The house is located on Södra Stenungsön, where there is much nature and very few houses.

Many opportunities for ralaxation, walking, bathing, boating and fishing in beatiful nature just around the corner and also within reach of a few km to a more wild untouched nature.

Also there are much to see as tourists, being in the middle of Bohuslän, where you also can bike around the islands.

The house is about 50 square meters in two floors and lies just a few meters from the water, beach and a jetty with bathing and boating at your hip. Through perspective windows there are spectacular views over the sea and boat life. Oil radiators and airconditioning in both floors.

In the upper floor there is one highly comfortable living room with double bed (1,80*2 meters, separable into two beds) and a sofa group, table and a TV with parabolic antenna providing many channels, including the free European channels. Also there is access to high speed broadband (fiber).

Additionally, outside the upper floor there is space under roof, overlooking the water, as extra space when needed. A dinner table is available for 4 persons to be used here or in the living room as needed. Also here there is a separate room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

A stair leads down to the lower floor on heated ceramics, where there is a smaller bedroom with either double bed (1,62*2 meters, not separable) or single bed. In this lower floor is also kitchen with cooking facilities, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, micro oven etc and a breakfast table. Also there is a WC and shower room.

There is one terrace just outside the kitchen with a garden table and chairs and a Glass Pavilion with table and chairs, about 10 meters from the house, towards the jetty. In just a few further steps there is the cliff with sunchairs, where you sit just above the water with an outstanding view over the sea. The Barbeque grill can be rolled to where you want it.

Parking space for the car is available just at the side of the house, but not infringing on the views from the house.

At the private beach there are bathing and playing opportunities for children. There is also a jetty with a bathing ladder from which adults can take a swim in deep water. Apart from our own piece of land, including the forest and the own sand beach, there is the popular community bathing facility for both children and adults with a jumping tower after a 5 minute walk through the park.

At the jetty lie boats which can be rented.



The boats that can be rented are three boats with 4-stroke outboard engines (with electrical start) of varying capacities (8Hp, 20 Hp and 50Hp), as well as a one-man kayak and a two-men kayak.
More information about the boats can be provided if requested. If you are interested to rent a boat, you should book it early, so that it is available for you during your stay.

Directly outside our lot is a Nature Reserve, starting with a park for walking along the water, which reaches a footbridge leading to a wonderful small island with a very varying nature. Also there is a longer track of about 3 kilometers with partly stunning sea views over the archipelago, for walking or jogging.

Those who like fishing has come to the right place. Here is said that we have one of the best fishing places in Europe, particularly for salmon trout and mackerel etc. Fishing is done by spinning from the rocks nearby or from boat.

At about 10 minutes walking distance there is a famous high class hotel named Stenungsbaden (recently received price for best Wellness hotel in Europe), which has many available facilities, like restaurants, night club and a newly built sophisticated spa (relax and gym) etc with reasonable prices.

In 5 minutes by car you can reach the village Stenungsund with all its shopping facilities for food, clothing, fishing equipment, litterature etc etc. as well as a number of restaurants.

Svartedalen, a large wild nature park with wild forests and many lakes is reached 15 km ahead. There are many walking trails to choose from.

You live here in the centre of the province of Bohuslän, which is the heart of the Swedish West coast. It is rather close to reach famous picturesque fishing villages like Rönnäng, Skärhamn, Åstol, Dyrön, Kyrkesund, Mollösund, Gullholmen, Ellös and also relatively close to bigger villages beyond Stenungsund, such as Kungälv (30 min), Marstrand (40 min), Gothenburg (40 min) and Uddevalla (40 min). Kungälv and Gothenburg can, apart from car, be reached by either train or bus from Stenungsön/Stenungsund.

In Gothenburg there is i.e Liseberg, the biggest Nordic amusement park and Universeum, displaying science and experience about the whole world and the space.
