Charming House in Old Town with Communal Parking and Balcony Views
This exclusive 350m² retreat offers couples, families or larger groups the perfect opportunity to experience an authentic old town home in complete privacy. The residence is centrally located, in a quiet cobbled street, just a few steps away from the central bus station and all the city’s major attractions including shops, local markets, restaurants and beaches.
Outdoor facilities include a 3.5m x 7m swimming pool surrounded by ample lounging spaces and an expansive 4 meter wooden dining table with a traditional BBQ.
The Manor is a fully renovated 16th Century Venetian Residence, set amidst a peaceful and luxurious fruit tree garden with a private swimming pool, a courtyard, terraces and balcony views of the Old Fort. The villa has been restored under the guidance and close supervision of the Archeological Department and it has been equipped with all the necessary modern amenities in order to ensure that guests have a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The 180m² villa can accommodate up to 8 persons (children included) and is laid out on two levels. It features three bedrooms (one king size bed, two twins/king size bed and one queen size bed). There are two bathrooms (a traditional bathtub and a spacious double walk-in shower), a laundry room, two living areas with sofa beds and a dining room with a fully equipped open plan kitchen. ADDITIONAL FEATURES The residence is fully furnished with high quality bedding; air conditioning and heating in all the rooms (including the bathrooms); three wood stove fireplaces; satellite TV’s in all the bedrooms; a 65” flat screen TV, with cable reception, in the main living room; indoor/outdoor WIFI coverage and two residential security cameras at the entrance.
The old town of Rethymnon is conveniently located at an equidistance from the two main cities of Chania and Heraklion making the residence a perfect home base for exploring the island, all whilst enjoying a relaxing getaway in a vibrant historical city center setting. The renowned south coast beaches can be reached within a short 30 minutes drive (Schinaria, Ammoudi, Preveli) and daily excursions to both the western and eastern island attractions can easily be organised during your stay (Lake Kournas, Balos, Elafonissi, Knossos, Agios Nicolaos). Day trips to the island of Santorini, with regular boat departures from the marina in Rethymnon, can also be arranged (approximately 2 1/2 hours to reach the island).
Please note that the residence can accommodate families with children under adult supervision only, as the pool is not fenced in and there are stairs, terraces and balconies. To facilitate your family stay, we can provide you with baby gates for the indoor stairs, high chairs and one baby cot upon request at the time of reservation. In order to ensure that guests enjoy their complete privacy, the residence is equipped with all the necessary amenities for a complete self-catering stay, however, housekeeping and pool maintenance services are available upon request at an additional cost.
