Two houses on a former farm with a boat jetty, right by the Sandsjön lake at the end of the idyllically situated Dångebo, in the Tingsryds area
Tingsryds is centrally located in relation to major swimming and fishing lakes in the area – Tiken, Åsnen and Mien – and near the university town of Växjö.
The building was a former farmhouse, which was converted into a tourist café in the 1960s. The variety of types of cake, unusual for Sweden, enticed over 1000 people from near and far on Sundays.
Since its careful renovation in 2015, the property is now available for holiday lets and is looking forward to its first guests. There are two detached houses, thoughtfully decorated.
Right by the site there is a boat jetty and there are three boats belonging to the owner. You can also hire canoes. The Sandsjön lake is not deep, a maximum of 4-5 metres, on average about 2.7 metres, and invites you to swim and to go fishing. You can book boats on other lakes through an acquainted company, or fishing guidance. The owner can provide the contacts. There are shops in the centre of Tingsryds.

This house is in the former stables, which had been a café since the 1960s. The former large events room was divided into a living room and four bedrooms, with a kitchen next door for catering for large groups. The living room provides a range of entertainment, such as a pool table, table football, a piano. You can enjoy the harmonious atmosphere with well chosen details. If you would like to warm up then you can make yourselves comfortable in front of the fireplace. The room features decorative accents. You can sit on the sofas by a coffee table, or at the dining table with plenty of chairs. The living room also has a 55” LED TV. There is no need to detail the kitchen. The photos and the fact that it is a trade kitchen say it all. It provides everything you need. There are four bedrooms, of which two have a double bed measuring 180 x 200cm, one has a bed measuring 140 x 200cm, and the fourth has a bunk bed with two beds measuring 90 x 200cm. There are three bathrooms, one with a washbasin and a shower, the other two with a washbasin and toilet. Each room has a radiator and in summer there is an air conditioning unit in the living room. Wireless Internet access is available.
The delightful veranda provides stylish garden furniture and you can relax in the canopy swing. You can enjoy leisurely togetherness whilst grilling. The location right by the lake will make your holiday perfect.
