The country estate is amidst the Val d’Orcia nature reserve on an elevation, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and crop fields. Owing to its location, it affords a panoramic view over the surrounding landscape.
The total of three holiday apartments are on two floors and all have a private entrance. Each holiday apartment has heating, charged according to usage. Free wireless Internet access is available in the reception area. All guests can use the laundry room. During the renovation work, attention was paid to original details, for example preserving the historical external façade and the exposed wooden ceiling beams in various rooms.
The outdoor area has a pool for the use of all guests on the country estate, where you can cool off especially during the summer months. The outdoor area is shared by all guests. There is also a shared terrace, where all guests can have breakfast or dinner outdoors. Garden furniture and sun loungers are provided on the terrace and by the pool. Cars can be parked on the roofed parking spaces on site.
The owners allow guests to gain an insight into the farming work, depending on the season, and for example to participate in the olive harvest or grape picking. It is also possible to purchase wine or olive oil produced on the farm.
The nearest shop is about 5km from the country estate. There are restaurants about 1km away. The surrounding landscape and the nature reserve invite you to go on hikes and trips by mountain bike. Mountain bikes can be hired locally (payable). Interesting trip destinations include the nearby art and culture towns of Castiglione d’Orcia, Pienza, San Quirico d’Orcia, Montalcino and Montepulciano. Wellness enthusiasts can visit the thermal baths in Bagni, Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo and San Casciano dei Bagni. The country estate is about 120km from Florence airport.
