In the summer you can swim and practice all other kinds of water sports in the Lac du Der reservoir which provides the Seine in Paris with water in dry periods. This lovely and enormous nature area is located only 10 minutes from the cottage. The Nigloland attraction park is located 50 km away. A visit to Paris (2 hours), Troyes and Verdun (1 hour) is certainly worth the effort.
