Magdalena holiday apartment. Feel at home! It is a large holiday house set in a village idyll – ideal for family holidays. It is a large (120m²), light and quiet holiday apartment for six people in one of the sunniest areas of Germany. It is in a quiet, but central location in the village on a road with little traffic.
The separate garden belonging to the house, with garden furniture ( a table, six chairs, a parasol) and a grill invites you to spend time outdoors.
It is a fully renovated half of a farmhouse on two floors. The lower floor is at ground level. The upper floor has three bedrooms, two each with a double bed and the third with two single beds. A supplementary bed is possible on request and a child’s bed can be provided free of charge. The upper floor also has a hallway and a bathroom with a shower, WC, washing machine and a hairdryer. The ground floor comprises the living room (TV, DVD, CD-radio), the dining room, a hallway, the kitchen and a guest WC with a washbasin, and a farm cellar with an original structure. The kitchen is fully-equipped, including a fridge-freezer, a stove with a ceramic hob, a dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and microwave.
The Magdalena holiday house is especially suitable for family and active holidays. It is surrounded by lakes where you can swim (3-5km away), the outdoor pool in Niesky and forests, located in Horka, an idyllic village with a church and wall, in the midst of the nature of the Oberlausitz heath and pond landscape (Niederschlesische Oberlausitz). Swimming, water sports, cycle tours and hikes (very well-developed cycle trails) and riding (Horka), tours and boat trips on the Neiße are all possible. It is not far from the Königshainer mountains and the towns Bautzen, Bad Muskau, Görlitz, Niesky, Zittau, in the tri-border area, with many other trip destinations nearby. At the municipal office at the start of the road there is plenty of information material about activities and the surroundings. Horka itself has two bakeries with a small range of groceries, a farm shop with fruit, vegetables, plants and flowers, two flower shops, one with a post office and newspapers, a gardening centre, a hairdresser, a general practitioner, a dentist and two restaurants with regional cuisine. The Hübner bakery has a bread rolls delivery service. In Niesky and Rothenburg, each about 5km away, there are many other shops, pharmacies, doctors, hospitals and restaurants, as well as bicycle hire.
