The Kurpark, leisure centre and a large children’s playground are within about a five-minute walk. The Cistercian monastery, an important part of the UNESCO world cultural heritage site "Rammelsberg ore mine, Goslau old town and Oberharz water conservancy”, with its impressive modern museum, is only about a ten-minute walk from Villa Brodthage.

There is a generous garden sitting area with comfortable garden furniture, a parasol and grill in the sunny orchard right by the house.
