An Aldi, Plus, a post office and doctors are in the town of Usedom 13km away and it is 2.5km to Rankwitz harbour. Delious fish specialities are served in the the Alte Räucherei. There is a well-stocked fishmonger open every day with fresh and smoked fish. Liepe has the oldest documented church, which is made of brick without a tower. The Baltic Sea towns are about half an hour away (28km).
