The Tarn is renowned for its diversity, both in terms of its crops and its landscapes, with its many viewpoints, its heritage and its microclimate. You'll enjoy the peace and quiet, the beauty of nature and discover the natural and cultural riches of the region.
You're in the Pays de Cocagne, home to the region's blue gold: woad, as well as the pink garlic of Lautrec. The medieval town of Lautrec is just 12 minutes from the gîte. You can visit its windmill, discover the history of pastel or take part in the many summer festivities: garlic festival, bread festival, sport, music, etc.
The gîte is located in a quiet hamlet, 2 kilometres on foot from the centre of the village of Guitalens-L'Albarède, where you will find all amenities: grocery shop, bakery, tobacconist, petrol station, pharmacy, doctors and restaurants. Just 600 metres from the gîte, there is another farm to visit with cattle.
** THE GITE **
Located in a magnificent farmhouse, the gîte occupies the end of the building where the owners live, as well as a second gîte on the other side (occupied by workers). You share the courtyard overlooking the farm, but you'll have peace and quiet.
Air-conditioned, single-storey gîte, ideal for 2 people. The sofa bed in the living room can sleep 2 extra people. An extra bed can also be provided in the bedroom for a child.
- Living room: open-plan kitchen with dining table, small lounge area with sofa bed, TV and fibre. Kitchen equipped with dishwasher, fridge with freezer, oven, toaster, Senseo® filter and pod coffee maker, microwave and blender.
- Bedroom with 140cm double bed
- Bathroom with shower and washbasin
- Separate WC with washing machine
Outside: private south-east-facing terrace with charcoal barbecue, pergola and a large green area of around 800m² at your disposal. About twenty hens and a cockerel are just a few metres from the gîte, as is the owners' dog. Francine will be happy to help you feed the hens.
Swings and toys for children, as well as bicycles available free of charge (children's tricycle, men's and women's bicycles).
