Recently awarded the "Ville d'Art et d'Histoire" label, Castres will surprise you with its architectural wealth and cultural life. You can take a leisurely stroll through the Jardin de l'Evêché, a French-style garden classified as "remarkable", or along the quays of the Agoût with their colourful houses reminiscent of Venice. The Goya Museum, recently restored, is a must-see for all lovers of Hispanic art, where you'll find timeless works by Goya, Velasquez and Murillo, a rich collection second only to that of the Louvre.
