The Schareckblick apartment is located in Böckstein, the southernmost part of Bad Gastein, just a three-minute walk from the bus stop to Bad Gastein or to the Heilstollen and Sportgastein. Two restaurants can be reached in five to ten minutes on foot, two more and a supermarket in a maximum of 20 minutes on foot or in a few minutes by car or bus. You can also reach the Heilstollen or the Tauernschleuse to Mallnitz in a maximum of five minutes by car or bus (or ten minutes by bike).
In ancient times (Roman times) Böckstein was the site of a well-known Tauern crossing, the Korntauern. Böckstein became famous as a mining village. From the 18th century, gold was mined on a large scale in the mountains south of Böckstein, and the Radhausberg bears its name from this period. If you arrive by car, free parking is available on both sides of the house. Bicycles can be parked in the garage next to the house. A socket for charging e-bikes is available.
