Serène is a magnificent stone property, perched on a hill, a former farm of the Templars of Vaour, below the village on the road to Itzac. In the hollow of a valley, facing a small cirque with wooded ridges, there is a feeling of tranquility and serenity.
The welcome in a gîte takes on its full meaning here: a homestay, walks and hikes in the forest, relaxation by the swimming pool. Those who wish can discover farm life, or explore the numerous hiking trails crisscrossing Grésigne and the high plateaus of the Pays de Vaour.
Absolutely worth discovering during your stay: the Pays des Bastides, the fortress of Penne, the villages of Puycelsi or Cordes-sur-ciel, the Gaillac vineyards and of course the famous Episcopal City of Albi (Cathedral, Palais de la Berbie, Toulouse-Lautrec museum)...
**THE COTTAGE**
The guest house is transformed into a gîte to offer you Le Grand Serène (guest house reference: G2429 on Gîtes de France). It is therefore a large house with 4 bedrooms, each with a bathroom with private toilet. The owners live in a wing of the building, at the back, so everyone has their own independence.
This house, located above the farm, is adjoined at the rear to a small gîte for 2 people, reference n°G294 on Gîtes de France.
* Fully equipped kitchen with cooktop, refrigerator with freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher, toaster...
* Huge living room of 100m² with bay windows, wooden beams and stone walls; no doubt, you will be charmed! The ideal place to share family meals, or enjoy the lounge area in front of the fireplace.
* From the living room, access to the private terrace at the gîte. Covered terrace with barbecue facing the valley and towards the swimming pool.
* The rooms :
- Botanicals room on the ground floor, accessible to people with reduced mobility. Two 90x190cm beds, private bathroom with accessible shower, sink, toilet.
- Aubrac bedroom upstairs. 160x200cm bed, private bathroom with shower, sink, toilet.
- Granny's bedroom upstairs. 160x200cm bed, private bathroom with shower, sink, toilet.
- Scilly room of 45m² upstairs which is divided into two bedrooms: the first with a 160x200cm bed. The bathroom with bathtub and double sink, as well as the independent toilet separate the second bedroom with two 90x190cm beds.
There is no shortage of outdoor spaces! You may come across the owners and occupants of the other gîte (a couple), but Serene is a house perched on a hill, surrounded by nature and the forest so it's difficult to be inconvenienced!
Swimming pool to share with other people present. Open from June 1 to September 31. 12x6m salt pool with progressive fung from 1 to 1.80m. It is accessible at all hours.
