Alojamento Local number 14257/AL. The holiday house is in a very quiet area, on a site of around 4000m² and just five minutes from the centre of Caminha. The house has a charming interior and details, such as hand-painted tiles called Azulejos, which are typical of Portugal.
The centrepiece is the spacious living and dining room. The kitchen is separated from the living room visually and is fully-equipped, including a dishwasher. On the first floor there is bedroom 1 with a double bed (about 170 x 200 cm) and the bathroom fully equipped with WC, bidé, bathtub / shower, washbasin and washing machine. Bedroom 2 is located on the ground floor and has a separate entrance. The room is equipped with 2 single beds 90 x 200 cm, a table with 4 chairs and a comfortable reading chair. There is also a terrace with a seating area and sun umbrella. The bathroom in the basement is equipped with WC, shower and washbasin.
The house is surrounded by a well-tended garden that you can share use of. The sun terrace on the upper floor affords a wonderful view of the Rio Minho, Rio Coura and the neighbouring Galicia in Spain. The terrace provides a table, chairs, parasols, deckchairs and a grill for six people. The house also has a well-presented swimming pool (9 x 4.5m with a depth of 0.9 to 2.2 metres) for the exclusive use of guests. There are two parking spaces reserved for you on site.
It is possible for a maximum of four people to rent the upper floor under property no. 833265. It is also possible for 5-6 people to rent the whole house under no. 1299257. Independent of the upper floor, the floor is expressly not rented. The owner lives on the same site, but the house is not within sight. Note: the whole house is registered in the Alojamento Local.
The holiday house is about 1km from the historical centre of Caminha and therefore on the border with northern Spain. Caminha has three supermarkets and a market hall with fish, vegetables and fruit for shopping. There is a weekly farmers’ market on Wednesdays. Caminha also has cake shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and other shops. Guided walks for at least two people are arranged by a local tour operator. It is 2km to the estuary of the Rio Minho into the Atlantic, with an idyllic river and sea beach. Moledo do Minho with a wide sandy beach and certified water quality is about 3km away and is a paradise for windsurfers, body boarders and kite surfers. The wide range of sports includes tennis courts and golf courses nearby. There are cultural highlights nearby, such as the towns Porto (UNESCO world cultural heritage site), Viana do Castelo, Braga and Guimaraes, the European Capital of Culture in 2012.
