«The house is very spacious, has a very nice and big swimming pool and a beautiful view over the valley to the sea.
We basically spent all our time on the very nice and shady terrace. So there is definitely potential for the owner to make this a 5 star rental. The house is placed in a quiet (except for barking dogs) area in the outskirts of Alella.

However:
- The 'double beds' were basically 1½ width beds, and all the beds seem to be the cheapest they could get. Not much sleep there.
- The kitchen lacked a lot of very basic stuff and hasn't enough equipment for more than one meal at a time. No lids for the pots! No grill for the outside fireplace (we used the one from the oven). We had to buy wine glasses and drinking glasses and a knife-sharpener (the knives were very children-safe) and a cutting board and probably some more stuff that I have forgotten. Why didn't the owner care to buy the most basic stuff? Anyways; the following guests can now benefit from our purchases (except for the knife-sharpener), so they can write better reviews.
-There was a constant, distinct smell in the entire house of diesel/gasoil, seemingly originating from the basement, even noticable outside on the terrace when the wind was still. We had to sleep with doors closed.
