Two Bedroom Apartment Praiano
Virtus is a pretty apartment in an enviable position in a pedestrian area of the village of Praiano nestled between the famous towns of Positano and Amalfi. The apartment has a beautiful terrace for dining al fresco whilst enjoying the fantastic sea views and a vegetable garden partially shaded by lemon and orange trees where you can pick your own produce in season. Virtus has a pretty swimming pool furnished with sun loungers and enjoying a lovely panorama.
Pathways wind up through the town to the entrance of Virtus marked by an iron gate then 18 steps leading down to the apartment itself. Very well appointed Virtus has air conditioning and there is a Wi Fi internet connection. It is possible to stay without a car as the lovely town of Praiano, with its shops, excellent restaurants and bars is within walking distance and the pretty local beaches can also be reached on foot, or by handy shuttle bus service from the village. If you do have a car it is possible to reserve a parking space nearby (this parking space is suitable for small cars only and must be requested, prebooked in advance and is subject to availability).
Virtus is very comfortably furnished and has a wonderful light and airy Mediterranean atmosphere as well as enjoying spectacular views of Praiano and the azure sea beyond from its' terrace and many of the apartments windows. It consists of an inviting living room with corner settee, armchair, satellite television and dining table and chairs. An archway leads from the living room to a fully equipped kitchen with patio doors leading onto a little balcony and the apartments large terrace, which is equipped with table, chairs and sun umbrella so perfect for enjoying meals al fresco whilst savouring the amazing panorama. There are two pretty bedrooms and ensuite shower room with cromotherapy shower and bathtub, the other with double bed and ensuite shower room. Both bedrooms have satellite television, air conditioning and one has a small safe.
This wonderful area inspired writers and composers such as Goethe and Wagner, who were awed with its beauty and Virtus is ideally located to explore the lovely town of Praiano, enjoy its pretty beaches or even take a boat trip along the coast. The local bus reaches many other local towns such as Positano and Amalfi. Further afield and well worth a visit are the archeological sites of Pompeii and Ercolano, at the feet of the volcano Vesuvius, and cosmopolitan Sorrento with its maze of streets, with shops and pavement cafes is a joy to explore.
Note: As the apartment is built into the hillside, there are steps/steep paths to Praiano and seafront.
