House in Kuna Pelješka with Private Parking
Kuna is a small village surrounded by endless vineyards and olive trees, in the heart of the Pelješac peninsula, known as the "kingdom of wine". Peace, quiet and a soothing view of untouched nature are the main reasons why more and more tourists visit this magical place. The nearest beach to Kuna is a small bay of Crkvice on the northern coast of the Peninsula, just across and down the hill from the village. The 7km long road from Kuna to Crkvice is partly shaded by tall pine trees and other vegetation, so it could be a great route for walking/ hiking/ mountain-biking day trip. With a stunning view of its lovely surroundings and historical monuments, Kuna is a great place to visit any time of the year. It always feels so calming walking around the village among the olive and vine groves and visiting Monastery grounds for some refreshment and calm shade among its tall cypress trees. The neighboring 17th century Church of Our Lady of Loreta-Deloitte is one of the largest churches on Pelješac, constructed within a monastery grounds as a three-nave building The village is home to the 18th-century Franciscan monastery that treasures some amazing old paintings as well as artworks by well known Croatian artist Mato Celestin Medović, who as a Franciscan monk lived in the monastery in the 19th century.
Two bedrooms with a view of the vineyards, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a couch as an extra bed, one and a half bathrooms and a terrace, which leads to a tavern with a fireplace, the use of which is included in the price, are some of the benefits you can enjoy while spending a relaxed vacation in this peaceful place. The house is air-conditioned and offers free Wi-Fi as well as parking. The house is exclusively for guests and the owner does not live in the same building. Lovers of good wine will surely enjoy it here. There are many wineries and wine cellars nearby, to which the owner will take you. The shop is only 300m from the building, the post office 100m and the restaurant 200m. The nearest beach is located about 6 km from the place itself.
Village Kuna is walking, hiking, mountain biking, Mediterranean herbs, good food, wine lovers’ paradise. In addition to enjoying the sun on one of the many beaches and swimming and diving in the turquoise blue Adriatic sea, you can enjoy various activities on Pelješac. Windsurfing, cycling, running, walking, hiking are just some of the many possibilities that you can always combine with a visit to one of the many wineries. Because, don't forget, the Pelješac peninsula is the "kingdom of wine" where some of the best Croatian wines are produced, such as Dingač or Postup. Rent a boat and visit some of the numerous islands between Pelješac and Korčula or even head to the island of Mljet (national park) or the island of Lastovo, you won't regret it. Be sure to visit Korcula, the hometown of the world traveler Marco Polo. The city of Dubrovnik, the 'pearl of the Adriatic', is less than 100 kilometers away, ideal for a day trip.
