Villa Amelia is located in the Village of KalathasThe seaside village of Kalathas is located 12km northeast of Chania, in the heart of a large natural bay on the Akrotiri peninsula, which is open to the north winds. Kalathas is a relatively modern village, which has been inhabited by residents of Chania who wanted to live away from the city center.The beach in front of the village is beautiful, with fine sand and shallow crystal clear water. Opposite Kalathas, there is a small island which you can easily reach by swimming. Next to the beach there are several palm trees that give an exotic tone to the landscape. Moreover, the beach is very well organized with umbrellas, water sports, restaurants, hotels, mini markets, etc.West of the main bay, beyond the rocky end, there is a secluded sandy bay. This is not organized and is ideal for those who do not like crowded places.

Two floors with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a living room are some of the facilities that villa Amelia has. All mattresses, towels, and lines are from high-quality COCO-MAT. Free WI-FI, the provision of bath amenities, an air conditioner, PlayStation, and Satellite TVs are some of the highlights that villa Amelia offers. The bedroom on the ground floor has a double-sized bed and a communal bathroom with a shower for all the guests. On the first floor, there are three bedrooms, one with twin beds and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, while the rest two are with double beds and ensuite bathrooms with showers. The combination of colours and the high quality of elements that have been used in combination with the contemporary design and luxury decoration create the perfect accommodation for your vacation!

Outdoor facilities
The most dominant feature of the exterior area is the swimming pool with the child session with sun loungers & umbrellas, ideal to relax under the sun. A wooden pergola offers shade to the dining area and the BBQ with direct access to the pool area. High in the roof garden, a comfortable living area with sofas, sunbeds, and a dining area create the ideal spot to enjoy the awesome sea view. 9-seater minivan policyWe provide a 9-seater minivan as an additional amenity for our guests with a valid driving licence. This service is complimentary for the entire duration of the stay at the villa. The minivan is available upon arrival at the villa and can be used throughout the stay. Therefore, please note that it does not cover transportation to and from the villa. However, we would be more than happy to assist in arranging transfers to and from the villa at an additional cost. ***Age restriction: Please note that the complimentary minivan service is only available to drivers who are at least 25 years old.

From 2024, as stated in article 53 of Law 4389/2016 (A’ 94), there is a resilience fee to the climate crisis that is 1.5 euros per night from March to October and 0.5 euros per night from November to February. This fee will be paid in cash upon your arrival.

Kalathas is a beautiful village northwest of the city of Chania at the Akrotiri Prefecture. The villa is built 1.2km from the sandy beach of Kalathas. If you are a fan of the sea, the Villa is ideal for you as you can have the opportunity to enjoy the sea and many water activities within a small walking distance.Close to the villa, there are two mini-markets for the essentials.
