If you want to get away from it all then Casa Do Campo is the perfect retreat for you. Nestled in the hills and countryside, this rustic 2 bedroom cottage will allow you to while away your time without the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A short drive takes you to the expressway and nearby Porto Moniz or São Vicente, or up the plateau of Paul da Serra which provides the best levada walking and hiking on the island.

The ground floor consists of an open plan lounge, dining area and compact kitchen, and in an adjoining room you will find a large internal built-in barbecue, so whatever the weather you can still try your hand at cooking one of the locals favourite dishes - Espetada, succulent skewers of beef.

Upstairs are the two bedrooms. One with a double bed and small balcony and the other with two single beds. Both bedrooms share the family shower room. If you are a larger group then the sofa can be used for 2 children or 1 adult. A baby cot and high chair can also be provided.

Outside is a table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy the peace and tranquility and enjoy the uninterrupted views of the sea, surrounding mountains and countryside.

Casa de Campo is located a short distance away from the Village of Porto Moniz, the northwestern corner of Madeira, and on the spectacular north coast - considered the most beautiful on the island.
Porto Moniz has all the conveniences you may require.
Travelling east you will find the lovely village of São Vicente, worth a visit as it has been kept the architecture of the old Madeira villages.
The north coast is absolutely beautiful. Dramatic, with majestic cliff faces, it also features the famous Bridal Veil waterfall.
Up from Casa de Campo is the plateau of Paul da Serra which offers the best walking and hiking conditions in Madeira.

Booking Notes
The rental value varies with the number of people occupying the property, so please ensure you enter the correct dates, number of adults, children and infants. Please note that supplements apply should additional people join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation, a deposit is required, or the full amount if within 8 weeks or arrival. Should you cancel up to 8 weeks prior to arrival only the deposit is non-refundable, and within this period the full amount.
A refundable security deposit of €200 is required, payable in cash on arrival.
Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.
Check-in times - at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made and an additional cost will apply.
Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out.

    «The property was very high quality with a wonderful view, well stocked kitchen and friendly local shop (very close) with an open fire bbq on the weekend. The road to the house is narrow and steep (about 50 metres length) so we parked at the top of this road and walked up and down. We had a great time here.»

    «Het is een bijzonder mooi en verzorgd huisje met prachtig uitzicht, waar we ons onmiddellijk thuis voelden.
    Het is heel rustig gelegen en een goede uitvalsbasis om het ganse eiland te verkennen. Wij hebben alle uithoeken van het eiland aangedaan en moesten nooit langer dan 1u20 rijden.
    Het wegje naar het huisje vergt enige zin voor avontuur, maar de auto wat verderop laten staan kan natuurlijk ook.
    De keuken is goed uitgerust met ruim voldoende servies en bestek. Alle toestellen (oven, koelkast, fornuis, microgolf) zijn proper en goed onderhouden.
    Voor ons was het enige minpunt dat de badkamer/toilet aan de kleine kant is.»

    «Das sehr geschmackvoll renovierte Häuschen liegt an einem steilen Westhang und hat einen wunderbaren Blick von der Terrasse aufs Meer hinaus. Die unmittelbare Umgebung ist ländlich, sehr ruhig und idyllisch, wenige Kilometer östlich von Porto Moniz. Ausstattung und Ambiente haben uns sehr gut gefallen, alles da, was man braucht, sehr gemütlich und komfortabel eingerichtet. Den Kaminofen haben wir im November gut nutzen können, da es dann an der Nordküste doch oft wolkig, regnerisch und kühl war. Die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit, herzlich und gastfreundlich.
    Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es wegen der etwas funzeligen Beleuchtung im Haus (spielt nur im Winterhalbjahr eine Rolle), und vor allem wegen der schlechten Erreichbarkeit: es gibt zwar einen Parkplatz direkt am Haus, dieser ist allerdings nur über einen extrem holprigen, sehr engen und sehr steilen Pflasterweg erreichbar. Der Adrenalinschub jedes Mal bei der An- und Abfahrt war uns die Sache nicht wert, deshalb haben wir regelmäßig unterhalb an der Straße geparkt und sind durch einen steilen Treppenweg durch die Terrassengärten zu Fuß zum Haus gelangt.»
