Holiday apartment with plenty of comfortable space

The holiday apartment is part of a guesthouse in a privileged, quiet residential location, on the sunny side of the idyllic little holiday village of Gnesau, with a lovely view of the mountains, the surrounding meadows and farms.

The spacious apartment with a balcony comprises two bedrooms, a pretty and fully-equipped kitchen-diner, a big bathroom with a shower and a separate WC. The morning sun spreads atmospheric cosiness in all the rooms. One bedroom has a double bed and the other has two single beds. The big kitchen-diner consists of a kitchen unit and a dining table with a bench and comfortable chairs, as well as fauteuils. It also has satellite TV with 26 channels and a radio. It opens onto the balcony, from which you can enjoy a view of mountains and meadows. The whole apartment features a lot of wood and is comfortably and practically furnished.

A bread rolls delivery service, breakfast and/or dinner are possible at a supplementary charge. The house has two communal rooms, a children’s play room, a games corner and a sauna with a new relaxation room. The farmers at the neighbouring farms are happy to sell their organic products. The host family lives in the same building and is therefore available to assist with any queries. In summer you are provided with the Kärnten Card, included in the rental price. It provides free and reduced price entry to over 100 trip destinations and attractions throughout Carinthia.

The house has a big, sunny garden with a lawn and playground, where children have plenty of space to play. There is a table tennis table in the garden in summer and in the games room in winter.

The centre is a 20-minute walk away. It has a well-stocked Spar supermarket and restaurants with good, well-priced, home-cooked dishes. It is just a 15-30-minute drive to the sun-blesses ski resorts of the Nockberge (World Cup ski resort Bad Kleinkirchheim, St. Oswald, Turracher Höhe, Falkert, Hochrindl and Gerlitzen with 160km of pistes). There is also access to a cross-country skiing trail 500 metres from the house. There is a cheap ski bus that can pick you up in front of the house. It is recommended to bring snow chains. The wonderful swimming lakes (Ossiachersee, Wörthersee, Millstättersee, Faakersee and many others) as well as the towns (Klagenfurt, Villach, Spittal, St. Veit, Feldkirchen) are just 15-40 minutes away. You have free entry to the Sonnleiten heated swimming pool. A true hiking paradise awaits hiking enthusiasts and you can also gather mushrooms during the season. It is just 15 minutes by car to two thermal baths, Römerbad and St. Kathrein.

    “Erg netjes en verzorgd. Goed geoutilleerde keuken. Twee fijne slaapkamers. Rustig en goed toeven bij zowel goed als regenachtig weer. Een klein nadeel: in een van de slaapkamers was 's nachts geen toevoer van frisse buitenlucht mogelijk.
    Balkonnetje klein, maar knus, buiten op omliggende tuin voldoende ruimte om heerlijk n de zon te vertoeven.
    Erg aardige en hartelijke gastheer/gastvrouw. Overwegen om nog eens terug te komen.”

    “Zimmer waren sauber, zweckmäßig eingerichtet mit kleinen Details.Küche war in einem tadellosem Zustand. Alles, was man so braucht zum kochen, war vorhanden. Herd und Spülmaschine sauber. Gastgeber waren stets freundlich. Half bei Arztsuche, organisierte Tracktorfahrt....Es gab frische Milch von Kühen. Alles in allem sehr schön.”
