This beautiful, antique estate of 10 hectares is situated in the periphery of the village of Monteverdi Marittimo, and the owner, a famous sculptor, also lives on the spot in the main villa which is characterized by the Florentine style of the 16. century. You will find the property, which comprises the accommodations ITK231, ITK232, ITK233 and ITK241, in the middle of a beautiful country-side in the hills behind the Etruscan coast, near to the Tyrrhenian see with its crystal water. In the park in front of the villa the sculptor has restored some rural buildings transforming them into stone-built houses with numerous architectonic elements in travertine, “pietra serena”, a kind or sandstone, and bronze, which are the materials preferred by the artist. The whole estate is characterized by a museum’s park and a well-kept wood, whilst in the apartments you will find in many rooms numerous artistic ceramics, travertine or cotto floors and ceilings with wooden beams. For common use: greeneries with a large outdoor pool in travertine where the guests may relax after a walk through the park with its sculptures or on the different paths which start from the property. Next to the large pool you will also find a patio with sun beds. The second pool, a pool with warm water (36°) and water jets, open the whole year through, is covered by a vault in travertine and has a dressing-room, a bathroom with shower and a large sun terrace with sunbeds and sun umbrellas. Each apartment has a private, equipped outdoor space. Upon request and payment on the spot: maid service. On the property a large restaurant room is available for the organization of dinners, and in addition to this a hall for those among you who organizes events, meetings or activities such as yoga or other holistic activities (both upon request and payment on the spot). 1 baby bed available upon request free of charge. Washing machine for common use. Opening hours of the pools: unheated pool (9 am-8 pm), heated pool (36°) (3x9 m – depth 1,4 m – open the whole year through from 9 am to 8 pm). Distances: Monteverdi Marittimo with some shops at 500 m distance, Castagneto Carducci with all kind of shops 16 km, Marina di Castagneto Carducci with beaches 24 km, Massa Marittima 42 km, Volterra 46 km and Punta Ala (golf course, touristic harbor) 55 km.     “Jeg vil gerne give boligen 4,5 huse. Den får ikke fem, for sengene var ret dårlige. Beliggenheden var god, dog kunne der godt være lidt information om indkøb. Vi fik en ret stor bon i en lokal butik, hvor det var svært at gennemskue priser. Dog en virkelig sjov oplevelse, da det var som at blive sat 100 år tilbage i tiden. Mange lokalt producerede varer.
    Området var meget smukt og autentisk, dog var der ikke meget mulighed for at spise på restaurant i byen. Man skal klart tage imod tilbuddet om at spise på stedet. Det var en kæmpe kulinarisk oplevelse. Vi fik en masse lokale retter, økologisk, og alt grønt fra haven, og kyllingerne de selv opdrættede. Damerne kunne næsten intet engelsk, men de lavede fantastisk mad.
    Det er rigtigt godt at cykle på mountain bike, eller ræser cykel. Der bliver taget hensyn, og man kommer igennem skønne små byer hvor man kan sætte sig og nyde udsigten over en tår at drikke.
    En dejlig oplevelse. Lejligheden er rummelig, og fin til 8 personer.”
