Taalintehdas, Västanfjärd, Mathildedal, Perniö, Söderlångvik, Kasnäs, Öro fortress island, Hiittinen island and Högsåra village are well reachable. There are many ferry connections from Kasnäs and Taalintehdas to the surrounding area, even to Hanko and the lighthouse island of Bengtskär. Villa Lux is also an excellent starting point to start biking along the Finnish coastline along the so-called coastal route. For golfers, there are a couple of golf courses, Bjärkas Golf and Meri-Teijo Golf. There are several farm shops in Kemiönsaari island.
