The location, 4 km from the junction between 2 important auto-roads connecting the North to the South of Portugal and the sea to the mountain (A1 and A25) allows you to easily and quickly visit cities like Porto, Coimbra, Viseu, Aveiro, beaches of Barra and Costa Nova, Murtosa with the charm of Ria de Aveiro, a natural lagoon with connection to the sea, that allows the practice of sailing, canoeing or just cycling along its wonderful shores.
The proximity of the mountains, Caramulo, Freita , Paiva, Mizarela, allow to make trecking and know much of what the interior of Portugal can offer.
This house, dating from the beginning of the 19th century, reflects much of what was the life of a family in Portuguese rural areas. Renovated in 2017, is inserted in a farm with vast lawn and trees of beautiful flowers that allows a relaxed holiday. The maintenance of the previous structure, adapted to amenities necessary for current life, the recovery of much of the old furniture, the winery and the old mill, make this space with a special charm. Its interior courtyard, in Portuguese sidewalk, is also an added value that everyone can enjoy. For this, most of the furniture and utensils of that time were preserved. One can not fail to make a series of changes in order to turn compatible the comfort required in today's world with the presence of this history.

Layout of the property
The home has only one floor with about 50 m² in size and can accommodate three guests. It comprises of the following rooms: one bedroom with a 140 x 200 cm double bed and a sofa bed, a living room with a TV and a double sofa. Plus there is a fully-equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave, coffee machine, fridge and a dining area.
The house have an adjoining bathroom with a shower and bidet.
The terrace is equipped with garden furniture, a sunshade and garden loungers. The property is fenced and is therefore suitable for children. The small pool is also very suitable for children in a nice space.
The surrounding space where you can't help the song of birds, the parking inside the property, are aspects to be covered and that allow a relaxing and comfortable stay.
What makes this house a pleasant space for a relaxing but simultaneously active holiday is its home and farm space, the proximity of the sea, mountains and historic cities that allows you to alternate holiday days with well-differentiated activities. The beautiful white sandy beaches, Barra and Costa Nova, the Ria de Aveiro and its walkways, the mountain walkways of Paiva, the trekking routes of Caramulo or Mizarela, the beautiful cities of Aveiro (12 km), Porto, Coimbra and Viseu (50km), all connected by motorway , are factors that justify a stay in our home.
The Ria de Aveiro, the wonderful lagoon that enters the city of Aveiro but extends to rural areas of Murtosa, Canelas e Estarreja, the road and the walkways that surround this wonder of nature in the area of S. Jacinto, the nature reserve of the Dunes of S. Jacinto , Caramulo and its highest point, Caramulinho with its 1075 meters but with a wide view to the sea, the sand beaches of Barra, Costa Nova, Areão, are surroundings that are a few kilometers away and reachable between 15 minutes and 1 hour.
Very close is also another lagoon phenomenon, the «Pateira de Fermentelos», reachable in 15 minutes.
Within 30 km we have the casino of Espinho and 2km 2 farm where you can practice horse riding.
Our small town, where is our house is, Alquerubim, a small but with some extension town, have restaurant with takeaway service, bakery, café and supermarket, all around a short distance.
