Near the Baltic Sea: modern holiday house with a garden, in a quiet location

The very generous modern house with 100m² of living space and modern furnishing boasts a completely quiet location: right by the edge of the field, with forest behind, in a little residential area at the end of a residential street. It is ideal for relaxing from the hustle and bustle of the city, but is just a 15-minute drive from the nearest sandy beach by the Baltic Sea.

The house provides the following rooms on two floors. Ground floor: the entrance area has a wardrobe and shoe cupboard. The living room is visually divided into a lounge and dining area. The lounge has two sofas and an armchair, a radio/CD and satellite TV. The dining room has a cosy modern oak table and sideboards. The living room opens onto the terrace and on to the garden. The living room has an adjoining open kitchen, equipped with a fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher, sink and microwave. There is a separate pantry (with a freezer). The modern bathroom is fitted with a shower, washbasin and WC. The interior is rounded off by warm Jatoba wooden flooring. A washing machine is available. The bedroom has two single beds that can also be joined together, a little dresser and a desk. The hallway connects the living room with the kitchen, bathroom, entrance area and bedroom. From here there are wooden stairs with an integrated library leading to the upper floor. The open gallery upstairs has a double bed (140 x 200cm). The (children’s) bedroom on the upper floor is furnished with a double sofa bed. The furnishing is completed by some shelves, a children’s table, a changing table and a child’s bed. The light hallway provides access to this bedroom and to a walk-in wardrobe. The three further rooms on the upper floor are not let out.

The generous site (ca. 750m²) is ideal for children. It has a sandpit, a double swing, a trampoline and an inflatable paddling pool. For adults, there is a terrace with garden furniture, a parasol and a grill. There is a parking space on site and further spaces in front of the site on the street. The site is surrounded on two sides by a green belt. You can observe many wild animals in the immediate neighbourhood: deer, various birds of prey, snakes, turtles and of course cranes.

The whole house has underfloor heating. The floors are real wood (floorboards and parquet), or laminate in the ground-floor bedroom, tiles in the hallway and kitchen, and natural stone (travertine) in the entrance area. Wireless Internet access is available free of charge, as well as the telephone for mainline calls.

It is about 300 metres to a large forested area along a path by the field. The Retschow surroundings are ideal for cycle tours, e.g. to the nearby Glashäger Quellental, the Doberan Münster, the pottery or glass-blowing workshops in Göashagen or the fishery in Hütter Wohld. You can take the steam train “Molli”to the Baltic Sea town Kühlungsborn. It is about 15 minutes by car from Retschow to the sandy beach at the Baltic Sea (e.g. Heiligendamm), as well as the Hanseatic town Rostock with its shopping and activities.
