Description of the House Surrounded by forests is Greimerath - a tiny Hochwald village. In the center you find our restaurant ‘Greimerather Forst‘ and our new guesthouse ‘Ferienwohnungen Greimerather Forst‘. We built five holiday flats resembling our name by integrating a wooden design in a recently redeveloped house. Two of the flats have south-facing balconies with garden furniture and a view. The two loft flats have an incredible view over the roofs of Greimerath and its surrounding woodlands. Solid wood furniture adds to the feel good atmosphere of the rooms. You will be staying in the right spot to start hikes or bike rides. The hike track ‘Traumschleife Greimerather Höhenweg‘ starts right here and the bike track ‘Ruwer-Hochwald-Radweg‘ is close by (approx. 400m). But you can also get to know the area which offers many opportunities. Highly recommended are daytrips to Saarburg, Trier (Germany´s oldest city with an impressive cathedral and lots of traces of the Roman Empire) or to the close-by reservoir ‘Losheimer Stausee‘. The ‘Saarschleife‘ (a huge river loop in Mettlach) or one of the many Mosel or Saar wineries invite visitors to linger. Even international cities such as Luxembourg or Strasbourg can be reached in a one-to-two hour car ride.

The holiday flat ‘Uff`m Knippchen‘ (50 sqm) has one bedroom (double bed), one bathroom with shower/WC, a detached and fully equipped kitchen as well as a spacious living room with a dining area. All rooms are lovely set up with solid oak furniture true to the original style. This flat have a south-facing balconie with garden furniture. You will enjoy a fantastic view overlooking Greimerath and the surrounding nature. If you are not in the mood for cooking, you will find our restaurant just around the corner (one minute walk) offering varied and very delicious meals.
