Luxurious villas with a private pool and a garden, near a child-friendly beach awarded the Blue Flag

These villas newly built in 2015 and 2016 with a pool enjoy a central location near the beach in the charming village Almyrida. The site is within the locality, but offers beautiful and quiet surroundings. This luxurious property comprises a large and a small holiday villa. Each villa has its own outdoor area and a private, separate entrance, ensuring a maximum of privacy for each guest.

Charming and private outdoor areas, stone walls and a garden all around the houses create the perfect setting for your dream holiday. The whole site measures 950m². Each villa has its own pool with sun loungers, a sitting corner and a dining space, a little garden, a courtyard and a private parking space. The pools can be heated at a supplementary charge.

A local representative will greet you on arrival at the villa. A free fruit basket, snacks and wine are presented as a welcome gift. Toiletries made by Apivita are provided. The houses are cleaned twice a week, with a change of bed linen and towels. The service also includes pool maintenance twice a week and gardening once a week. These services are free. The villas have an EOT licence.

The overall plot measures 950 square meters. The project is designed to achieve full privacy for each villa.

The little fishing village of Almyrida has cafés, bars, bakeries, a butcher, a pharmacy, grocery shops and jewellery shops, together with many other charming little shops that are open late into the evening during the high season. There are also local car rental services and ATMs. The beaches have many idyllic little tavernas, of which many are family-run. Almyrida offers not only non-motorised water sports such as windsurfing, catamaran sailing or kayaking, but you can also go on a guided boat tour along the coast, with snorkeling. The area is suitable for walking, with many paths leading to the surrounding villages. The local beach has been awarded the Blue Flag by the EU for its cleanliness. The sandy beaches are child-friendly and flatly shelved, perfect for a lovely day on the beach for all ages.

Centrally located near the beach in the charming village of Almyrida. The property is located within the town limits, but in a quiet, calm and nice neighbourhood. Charming and private outdoor areas, stone walls and garden surrounding the house and creates the perfect frame of the property. This luxury property, GM Villas (built in 2015/16), with two buildings, features one large villa - Villa Karga (300 m2) and one smaller villa - Villa Nova (100 m2).

The living room opens onto the tiled terrace and the pool area with a garden. Cosy sitting corners with a sofa, armchairs and a grill, as well as four sun loungers with a parasol provide the perfect outdoor atmosphere and invite you to sit and relax. The sitting bench integrated into the pool is a special highlight, inviting you to relax in the sunshine on hot summer days. Or how about a refreshing shower under the waterfall?

With the sound of the waves, the nearby sandy beach and the view of the beautiful white mountains, this holiday villa is a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. It is an ideal retreat for two couples, a small family or a couple who would like to spend a luxurious and quiet holiday with ample privacy. This well-equipped 100m² house can accommodate four adults and a child. The air-conditioned villa features impressive architecture and an accomplished décor, with an elegant mix of stone, glass, wood, warm colours and high-quality materials. You can sit back in the beautiful and stylish rooms and enjoy your holiday right from the outset. The house comprises two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, a living room with a fireplace and a little pool with a waterfall. You can relax and watch TV in the cosy living room with a view over the garden and the pool. The modern and fully-equipped kitchen with a dining space allows you to prepare the dishes of your choice with herbs from the garden. You can sleep well in the two comfortable bedrooms, each furnished with a double bed (160 and 180cm wide). A child’s bed can be provided on request free of charge. There are two modern shower rooms.

Almyrida is located on the Apokoronas peninsula in the northwest of Crete, approximately 33 km from Chania Airport, 127 km from Heraklion Airport and 24 km from the city of Chania, which is the largest city in the prefecture. In the small fishing village, Almyrida you will find cafés, bars, bakeries, butcher shop, pharmacy, grocery stores, jewellery, along with a variety of other charming small shops, all of which are open late in the evening during the peak season. There is also car-hire companies and ATMs. Along the beaches are a number of small, idyllic seaside tavernas, many of which are family-run. Almyrida also offers (non-motorised) water sports such as wind-surfing, catamaran sailing, kayaking, etc. A guided boat tour with snorkelling along coastline caves is also popular. The area is well suited for hiking, with many footpaths leading to surrounding villages. Almyrida is an excellent hub for exploring the beautiful district of Apokoronas on foot, bicycle or by car, and visiting the myriad of delightful coastal and mountain villages.
Although Almyrida has experienced some expansion in recent years, it has managed to maintain the distinct nature and relaxed atmosphere of a typical Greek village.
The beach in Almyrida has been awarded the Blue Flag by the EU for its cleanliness. The sandy beaches are child-friendly, sloping gently to provide long shallows into the azure sea. It is a wonderful site for a delightful day at the beach for young and old alike.

    „The 500 euro refundable damage deposit payable on arrival is to be paid in cash. This was not stated in e-Domizil's booking emails. Also, e-Domizil did not provide us with contact details for the villa owner. We were only given a telephone number for the concierge Roula, but this was solely so we could liaise with her on our day of arrival to give her our check-in time. Fortunately, the helpful villa owner Maja emailed us a few days before our holiday began so we were able to discuss with her whether or not to heat the pool, joining single beds to make them into doubles, etc. At the very least, we needed to be told in advance by e-Domizil that the villa owner would be contacting us to deal with such matters before the holiday commenced. Positiv: Stunning panoramic views of White Mountains, the sea and the coastal village of Almyrida below us. The villa itself was gorgeous and very well equipped. The concierge Roula was a treasure - very friendly, helpful and efficient. Negativ: Trivial but ... a two-slice toaster is too small for eight people; the filter coffee machine was missing an inner mesh for filtering the coffee - filter papers were provided instead but these overflowed! Restaurant: Monica's tavern (Gavalianos Kafenes) in Gavalachori. - In the main square in Gavalachori. Wonderful food and a beautiful garden so you eat under the walnut tree in a peaceful setting. Ausflüge: Chania - The old town and the Venetian harbour are a must to visit. Lots of lovely shops and tavernas, but beware parking can be extremely challenging.”

    „A great property with outstanding views and facilities - everything you could want as a home from home. A lovely pool, gym, steam room and bedrooms, all with en suite and air conditioning. Beautiful views.
    It takes 5-10 mins to walk to the shops, beach and restaurants and is down a fairly steep but short hill.
    All in all, an amazing villa in a great location with a lovely host, who was always on hand to help and make us feel welcome.”
