    schnuckeliger, kleiner Ort am Canal du midi mit sehr empfehlenswerten Restaurants. Am Kanal sitzen und auf Boote schauen oder selber eins mieten und einfach entspannen (geht hier super gut). Oh ja, es gibt auch einen kleinen Supermarkt, der sogar noch Sonntagabend auf hat.»

    «Homps zelf is heel erg klein, maar in de nabijheid heb je veel dorpen. Olonzac is op 5 minuten rijden en heeft alle faciliteiten om de mens van alle gemak te voorzien. Minerve is echt een fantastisch mooi middeleeuws dorp, op 10 minuten rijden. Zeer zeker bezoeken, een echte aanrader. Verder liggen alle trekpleisters op ongeveer een half uurtje rijden, dus ook dit is goed te doen. Carcassone, Narbonne, Abbey Fontfriere.»

    «Homps is a little French village with very good restaurants, shops and a very pleasant atmosphere. there are several places to visit in the near vicinity including the beach at Narbonne Plage. people are friendly and helpful welcoming visitors, even if they speak terrible French like me. the proximity to the Canal du Midi allows viewing of the boating activities and good walks along the towpath. the tourist information centre was a little lacking in information and could do with more training being given to the staff to promote the area and sites( and sights) to see.»
